Signature Service - Caribbean Community Leadership Award

On April 1, 2023, at a distinguished event at The Club at Andrews Air Force Base, Gabriel J. Christian, Managing Attorney of the Law Offices of Gabriel J. Christian & Associates, LLC, received the Signature Service - Caribbean Community Leadership Award from the Prince George's Community, Caribbean Council. The award ceremony occurred at the Council's annual Red Dress Ball held at the base. According to Council President Suzanne Matthews-Williams of Guyana, the organization seeks to spotlight charitable works and community leadership of those from the Caribbean community in the District of Columba/Maryland/Virginia (DMV) area who have so distinguished themselves. In the words of President Matthews-Williams, "Christian has tirelessly given of his time and resources to the Caribbean and broader community in the DMV to advanced education and the best interests of community development."

According to the Jamaica Gleaner of March 25, 2023, medical doctor Dr. Ursula McClymont of Jamaica was also honored for her leadership of the Linden E. Walters Foundation, which is dedicated to developing sports in the Caribbean Diaspora in the DMV and broader communities. Dr. McClymont is similarly honored for continuing in the civic leadership of her late husband, Linden Walters, by serving the best needs of the community in sports and related educational activities.
